Universal Gates

NAND and NOR gates alone can build any logic function.

Easy

Using only NAND:

NOT A = A NAND A
A AND B = NOT (A NAND B)
A OR B = (NOT A) NAND (NOT B)

The same is true for NOR. This is why early computers (the Apollo Guidance Computer used only NOR gates) and many chip libraries are built from one gate type.
