Terms of Service

• Give accurate information. Use your real name: it is printed on any certificates you earn.
• Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• If you are under 18, you may use UPEEC only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

When you post, comment, report news, write library content or host events, you must not:

• post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent;
• copy other people's work without permission or proper credit (plagiarism);
• post spam, scams, malware or misleading information;
• share other people's personal data without their consent;
• impersonate anyone, or try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site;
• create fake accounts or fake sign-ups, for example to inflate referral counts.

You keep ownership of what you create. By publishing it on UPEEC, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, format and share it on UPEEC and in UPEEC communications (for example, the Daily News digest). Knowledge Library content you submit, once approved, may be edited by editors for accuracy and clarity.

Admins, editors and moderators may review, edit, hide or remove content, and may pause, remove or ban accounts that break these terms. Posting in the Community and holding roles require approval and can be withdrawn.

• Role progress counts only work that has been approved.
• UPEEC certificates recognise participation and contribution within the UPEEC community. They are not academic qualifications, and are not issued, accredited or endorsed by any government body, university or accreditation agency.
• We may revoke a certificate obtained through fraud, plagiarism or misconduct, or issued by mistake. Revoked certificates show as revoked on their public verification page.

Online events may run on third-party platforms such as Google Meet or Zoom, whose own terms apply. Events may be recorded and the recording shared with attendees. Hosts are responsible for the content of their sessions, and events may be changed or cancelled.

If you buy a paid plan, the price, duration and what it unlocks are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Refund terms, if any, are shown at checkout and apply alongside your rights under Indian consumer law.

Content on UPEEC, including the Knowledge Library and community posts, is for learning and is provided “as is”. It may contain errors. Electrical work can be dangerous: always follow proper safety practices and local regulations, and consult a qualified professional before working on mains-voltage or high-power circuits.

To the extent permitted by law, UPEEC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, or for content posted by other members.

You can stop using UPEEC at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing office@upeec.org. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

We may update these terms and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. Continuing to use UPEEC after an update means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
