Three-Phase Systems
Three sinusoidal voltages 120° apart — the standard way to generate, transmit and use large amounts of power.
Three-phase power delivers constant instantaneous power to a balanced load (smooth torque for motors) and transmits the same power with less conductor material than single-phase. In India, low-voltage supply is 415 V line-to-line / 240 V line-to-neutral nominal (standard 400/230 V), 50 Hz.
